What are we learning right now?

First graders are beginning the year learning to keep the steady beat, and exploring their singing voices. We are also learning to identify high and low sounds, and to tell the difference between fast and slow, loud and soft, and singing and speaking voices. We are also learning to find patterns in music, to move to music and to be comfortable making music with our voices and other instruments.
